Wedgies

So Julian comes in my house, after helping his mom catch the cat he let escape (that Philip!).

As he's walking in I catch him saying, "Now you're gonna poop and do pipis on yourself." And he's cracking up and his mom's laughing, too. I ask him what the joke was all about and he says, "My mom has wedgie calzones."

-"Wedgie calzones? She's got a wedgie?"

-"No, the underwears are wedgie calzones cause they stick in your butt and you gotta pull it out."

I realize he's talking about a thong. His mom's wearing a thong! I ask him if he prefers 'wedgie calzones' or regular underwear and he says, "Wedgie calzones because they go in your butt and you have to pull them out."

He finds this tidbit amazing, not the fact that they're sexier! He's cute.

We're not in 'Spaña anymore

Nadia and Elena were about to go to bed. Papi promised them an episode of Dora or Caillou before bed. On our way to my bedroom, where they prefer to watch TV, Nadia and I had the following conversation.
Nadia: Mommy, Dora the Explorer On Demand in 'spañol is not working.
Me: Yeah, baby, I noticed. Hmm.. wonder what's wrong with it.
Nadia: It's cause this is not 'Spaña, ma. No 'spañol.

Feelings

In asking about feelings
Nadia was at her aunt Meli's house and while there her other aunt, Carmen, agreed to let Nadia spend the night. I told Nadia that she couldn't because it was a school night and all the way home she was pretty ticked off at me for not allowing her to stay.
Anyway, we got home, and since Nadia hadn't been feeling well, I asked her, "Nadia, how are you feeling now, baby?" And she says to me, "I'm feeling like I want to go to titi's house, maaa."
She's so cute. The answer was still "NO"!

Turtles don't pose

I took Julian and the girls to the beach and Nadia was crawling around, looking cute. I grab my cell phone to take a pic and asked her to say "cheese" and she says to me, "I can't say cheese mom cause I'm a turtle and turtles don't talk."
Fair enough.
